又称"血管活性肠肽"。 VIP最初从猪肠中分离获得,现已能人工合成。它的突出作用为强烈的血管扩张。可有正性心肌肌力作用,但可引起血压下降。在胃肠道其作用很广泛,可抑制胃酸、胃蛋白酶分泌,使胃肌松弛;激活肠粘膜的腺苷酸环化酶而促进肠液分泌及肠道收缩;促进胰分泌HCOs-及水;还能加强胰岛素及高血糖素分泌,促进糖原及脂肪分解。但目前对它的本质的了解不清楚,有待研究。
