中国明代书画家文徵明行草书的代表作之一。文徵明(1470～1559)，原名壁，字徵明，后以字行，改字徵仲，号衡山居士。长州(今江苏苏州)人。54岁以岁贡生荐试吏部，任翰林院待诏。此卷为纸本,行草书,纵28.4厘米，横447.4厘米。《西苑诗》是文徵明 56岁在京任翰林院待诏时所作,共七律10首,描述宫城西以太液池为中心的御苑(即今北海)景色。此卷书于嘉靖甲寅(1554)，距成诗时隔 30年，是年文徵明已 85岁。书法苍劲流畅，风姿端整秀雅，是其晚年杰作之一。卷后有清王澍题跋，并有"庆邸鉴赏书画之章"等藏印多方。现藏故宫博物院。
