形态特征:虎耳草科金腰属多年生草本植物，高15-20厘米。根状茎粗壮，密被鳞片。叶互生，基生叶2-3枚，具柄，叶片肾形，长5-8毫米，宽10-15毫米，边缘具15-20枚圆齿，齿裂边不重叠;柄长3-5厘米;茎生叶常具1-2枚，与基生叶同型。6-7月开花，聚伞花序密集，具7-10朵花，苞叶阔卵形，边缘具10-12枚圆齿，带黄红; 花黄色，直径约6-7毫米，萼片在花期近开展。
生境分布:生于海拔2400-4000米的高山灌丛草甸流水边。高山草甸、云杉林水边以及河边碎石上。分布于西藏东南部和云南西北部。缅甸、印度、不丹、尼泊尔也有。
