中国第一部用国际音标记录、研究广州方音的著作。黄锡凌(1908～1959)著。1941年上海中华书局初版,1957年3月中华书局香港分局重印出版，1979年4月重排发行，1981年1月重排本再次重印。全书177页。正文包括检字索引、凡例、粤语韵目表、粤音韵汇检字、粤音韵汇凡例、粤音韵汇、广州标准音之研究等内容；卷首有容肇祖撰写的序言，卷末有两个附录：一是《粤音罗马字注音新法建议》，二是本书的英文导论和"书中使用音标说明"（英文）。《韵汇》以广州音53个韵母为经，19个声母为纬，按韵母中的主要元音依次排列，同韵的字依声母顺序排，同韵同声的字再按声调排列。一字多音的都加注解,如在gau下的"校"注"校对",tsai 下的"差"注"差使"。 变调、读书音、口语音、今读、旧读以及少数冷僻的字也分别加以注释。《广州标准音之研究》一章，详细叙述了广州音的有关问题，着力于揭示语音变化的情况及其规律，对于声调的复杂变化和分析尤为透辟。本书成稿于粤语研究尚处草创的时代。以其记音准确，立论精当、叙述详尽，易查易懂而获得语言学界的好评。对几十年来粤音的研究影响较大。
