| 班达人 Banda 中非民族之一。为该国第一大族。另有部分居住在扎伊尔、刚果和苏丹。属尼格罗人种苏丹类型。使用桑戈语，属尼日尔-科尔多凡语系尼日尔-刚果语族。大部分人崇拜图腾和精灵。18世纪形成部落联盟。19世纪上半叶在迁徙过程中分成许多小的族群。19世纪后半叶遭西方殖民国家侵略。19世纪末，班达人地区被英国、法国、比利时殖民者瓜分和统治。经过长期斗争，中非共和国的班达人与国内其他民族一起，于1960年获得独立。主要从事农业，种植高粱、木薯等，少数人从事渔业。盛行一夫多妻制，多姐妹共夫。
