摄影机从低处向上拍摄的一种方法。仰摄适于拍摄高处的景物，能够使景物显得更加高大、雄伟。用它代表剧中人物的视线，有时可以表示对象之间的高低位置。由于透视关系，仰摄使画面中水平线降低，使前景和后景中物体的高度对比发生变化。处于前景的物体被突出，被夸大，甚至投影在天空的背景上，仿佛临空而立，具有压倒一切的气势；人们根据自己的生活经验和视觉感受，具有向上瞻仰的感觉，从而产生尊崇、敬仰甚至畏惧的心理。影片中常用仰摄镜头制造歌颂英雄人物或敬畏某种对象的效果（见电影摄影、电影摄影艺术）。
