为了提高商品流通的经济效益，要合理组织商品实体的流通，实现物流合理化。其内容包括：选择合理的运输线路，按经济区域组织流通，使商品实体以最短的运输距离从生产领域进入消费领域，从而缩短商品的在途时间，节约流通费用；选择最恰当的运输方式，例如直达运输、转栈运输等；选择最方便、最经济的运输工具，提高运输工具的利用效率和综合运输能力；建立物流中心，采用现代化的仓储设备和先进的仓库管理办法以及其他科学的物流手段，促进物流的现代化。
