形态特征:柏科刺柏属常绿乔木或灌木植物。小枝下垂。叶全为刺形，3叶轮生，叶线状披针形，长1.2-2.5(-3.2)厘米，宽12-2毫米，中脉两侧各有1条白色气孔带，基部具关节。4-5月开花，球花单生叶腋。球果近球形或宽卵圆形，长6-10毫米，熟时淡红色或淡红褐色，有白粉,顶端有时开裂; 种子通常3粒，半月形，无翅，有3-4条棱脊。
生境分布 生于海拔1500-2100米的山坡林下、沟谷林缘。分布于我国华东、华中、西南和陕西南部及甘肃南部。
用途 根药用，退热透疹。木材制工艺品。
