【动物形态】
鳙鱼 休侧扁,呈纺锤形,腹部在腹鳍基部之前段较圆,在腹鳍基部之后至肛门有很窄的腹棱。体长一般50余厘米。头大,约为体长的1/3。吻钝,阔而圆,口很宽,上唇中部很厚。眼小,位置特别低,在头侧正中轴的下方。下咽齿一行,呈杓形。鳃耙数很多,呈页状,排列紧密,但不联合。有发达而成螺旋形的鳃上器。鳞细小,侧线鳞96~110。背鳍Ⅲ7,很短,无硬刺,起点在腹鳍基之后。胸鳍长,可达腹鳍基,臀鳍Ⅲ12~13。尾鳍叉状。背部及两侧上半部微黑,腹部灰白,两侧有许多不规则的黑色斑点。胸、腹鳍灰白。 生活于河流、湖伯中,冬季多在河床和较深的岩坑中越冬,分布长江流域下游地区,东北、华北甚少见。是我国养殖鱼类之一。
