Based on the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data, the Hadley center Global sea-surfacetemperature (SST), and rainfall data at 160 stations in China from 1979 through to 2006, we haveinvestigated the meridional circulation (MC) changes in the East Asian summer monsoon regionon the interannual timescales.
