【爬行式通货膨胀】又称“最佳的通货膨胀”。物价上涨率以每年以2一4%左右的速度持续上涨。大多数西方经济学家认为，这种逐步提高的物价在生产要素尚未充分利用的条件下，对经济的发展和国家收人的增加有积极意义。但是，也有一部分经济学家认为，在物价稳定甚至下降时，经济同样能增长。再说，如果每年物价水平按此幅度上涨，若干年后货币购买力也会下降到相当水平。
