这是利用超导元件为计算机元件的计算机。超导计算机从实验到实用阶段已取得成功。如1989年日本研究人员使用约瑟夫森超导元件制造了信息处理机和记忆器，并将4块芯片连接起来，分别起有运算、控制、指挥记忆和数据记忆的作用。这种电脑仅用6.2毫瓦的电力为动力，其运算速度达到每秒10亿次，并已在5毫米角芯片上安装3万个约瑟夫森结的超导开关，现正研制开发超导集成电路器件，能在光纤上达每秒1万亿位通信。
