| 光的直线传播定律 light，law of rectilinear propagation of 几何光学的基本定律之一。光在均匀介质中沿直线传播，针孔成像、不透明物体在点光源照射下影的产生等都是直线传播定律的例证。早在中国战国时期的墨家著作《墨经》中，就根据光的直进性思想讨论了影的产生，并解释了针孔成像实验中倒像的成因。由于光具有波动性，当光在传播过程中遇到障碍物时，将偏离直线传播路径而产生衍射现象。根据衍射理论，光的波长愈长，衍射现象愈明显，只有在波长比起障碍物(或通光孔径)的几何线度小得多的条件下，衍射现象才能忽略不计，从而直线传播定律成立。因此，以光的直线传播定律为基础的几何光学是在光波波长λ→0的极限情形下讨论光的传播问题的。 |
