上式称伦敦规范，以使式（1）成为规范不变的。这里n是边界法向单位矢量。这个规范也保证了$\nabla*bb{j}_s=0$和在边界上js·n=0。对多连通超导体，则式（1）应改写为：
$bb{j}_s=-\frac{n_se^{\**^2}}{m^\**}(bb{A}-\frac{m^\**}{n_se^{\**^2}}\nabla\chi)$（3）
这里χ满足$\nabla^2\chi=0$。对单连通超导体，χ是常数；对多连通超导体，由于冻结磁通是量子化的，χ可以是多值函数。
