矮小灌木，高达30cm。节间短而多，长9-11mm。叶阔菱状椭圆形或椭圆形。花冠玫瑰红色，外被柔毛。中国特有种。仅分布于黑龙江帽儿山，生于山顶岩石裸露处。本种分布范围极狭窄，仅出现300-400m2的范围内，现存数量极少。
