自明朝以来，成都人就创造了药膳。因其既无药之苦口，又能达到有病治病，无病强身的奇效。故从民间到宫廷，都喜食之。经过四百余年的不断改造更新，今日成都药膳更是今非夕比，现例举两例，以慰读者。
虫草鸭采用名贵中药材冬虫夏草与老雄鸭烹制而成。取老雄鸭洗净去脏，用筷子削尖，在鸭身上扎约三至五厘米深的孔，将虫草的虫体部份塞入孔中，另配黄芪、胡桃仁、五味子等，置于砂锅中文火慢炖一至两小时。主治肺肾两虚，喘咳短气，气阴不足，免役能力低下，小儿智力发育不全。
