| 氧化钙 calcium oxide 化学式CaO，白色粉末，不纯者为灰白色。俗称石灰或生石灰。熔点2614℃，沸点2850℃，相对密度3.25～3.38。氧化钙为碱性氧化物，溶于水形成氢氧化钙。氧化钙在空气中逐渐吸收二氧化碳，转变为碳酸钙。碳酸钙在加热时生成氧化钙 ，大规模生产都用石灰石做原料 ，石灰窑的温度约1000℃，反应产生的二氧化碳气体不断逸出，使反应进行得很完全。在空气中和高温下加热氧化钙，会放出强烈的白光，称为石灰光，被利用来制造高强弧光灯。氧化钙大量用于建筑业，在1∶3(体积比)的熟石灰和砂子的混合物中加水制成的泥浆称为灰泥，用于砌砖等。在高温下，氧化钙和酸性氧化物发生反应： CaO + SiO2＝CaSiO3 3CaO+P2O5=Ca3(PO4)2 常利用上述反应除去氧化后生成的酸性氧化物，同时也可以与硫化亚铁作用除去钢水中过量的硫：高温  |
