英国女芭蕾演员、编导、教师。原名E.司坦诺斯。1898年6月6日生于爱尔兰威克洛郡的布莱辛顿。曾师从E.切凯蒂等舞蹈家学习芭蕾。1914年开始演员生涯。1919～1926年成为英国皇家歌剧院主要舞蹈演员。其间，曾于1922年参加麦辛－洛普霍娃芭蕾舞团和С.П.佳吉列夫的俄罗斯芭蕾舞团的演出。1926年她创办了伦敦舞蹈艺术学院。1931年，该学院并入新建的萨德勒斯威尔斯剧院，改名为维克维尔斯芭蕾舞团，1942年又改名为萨德勒斯威尔斯芭蕾舞团，1956年正式命名为英国皇家芭蕾舞团。此外，1946年德瓦卢瓦又创建了萨德勒斯威尔斯戏剧芭蕾舞团，该团1959年并入了皇家芭蕾舞团。1947年曾去土耳其协助建立舞蹈学校。1963年辞去皇家芭蕾舞团艺术指导职务，但继续在皇家芭蕾舞学校工作，直至1970年，被任命为终身理事。她编有《浪子的历程》、《创世记》和《约伯》等剧目。鉴于她对英国芭蕾事业的卓越贡献，被封为大英帝国皇家骑士团团长和女爵士。并被授予伦敦大学名誉博士(1947)和牛津大学名誉博士(1955)。著有《芭蕾舞团巡礼》和《请和我跳舞》等著作。
