冲积锥(alluvial cone)
又称洪积锥。沟谷口形成的半圆锥形堆积体。它是由暂时性流水作用形成的堆积地貌。由于沟谷水流流速较大,被搬运的物质被带到沟口附近,由于坡度减小,流速降低,加之水流开始分散,发生大量堆积而成半圆锥形堆积体。冲积锥的规模不大,其顶部和沟口相连,倾角大小不一。组成物质为洪积物,由大小不一的碎石、砾石、砂和亚粘土组成,一般分选不好,这是因为暂时性流水挟带的物质,搬运距离短,没有经过长期分选的缘故。它与冲积扇和洪积扇比较,规模较小,表面坡度较大,分选性较差。
