This paper expounds the present situations and the developing trends of the blooming mill, the mill for rolling sections, the hoop iron tandem mill, the pipe-mill and the wire mill, and makes analysis and forecast on the developing points and directions of the future steel rolling techniques.

Under the guidance of sustainable development principle, the focus for development of rolling technique for long products of specialty steel is: improvement of controlled rolling and controlled cooling technique; development of high precision rolling and surface and configuration quality improvement.
