鸟类喂养幼鸟（因幼鸟叫雏）的生物现象。幼鸟分为两类：早成雏和晚成雏。早成雏从鸟蛋里孵出来时身体外表已长有密绒羽，眼已张开，在绒羽干后，就随母鸟找食。晚成雏出壳时还没充分发育，身体外表没有或只有很少绒羽，眼不能张开，需要由母鸟衔虫喂养。鸡、鸭等的雏鸟为早成雏，啄木鸟、鸽等的雏鸟为晚成雏。晚成雏完全靠母鸟衔食饲养的现象叫育雏。
