鸟类喂养幼鸟(因幼鸟叫雏)的生物现象。幼鸟分为两类:早成雏和晚成雏。早成雏从鸟蛋里孵出来时身体外表已长有密绒羽,眼已张开,在绒羽干后,就随母鸟找食。晚成雏出壳时还没充分发育,身体外表没有或只有很少绒羽,眼不能张开,需要由母鸟衔虫喂养。鸡、鸭等的雏鸟为早成雏,啄木鸟、鸽等的雏鸟为晚成雏。晚成雏完全靠母鸟衔食饲养的现象叫育雏。
