On the basis of the flow characteristics of turbocharged four_stoke diesel engines and assuming that gas flow is one_dimensional quasi_steady flow, a simplified mathematical model is presented which is used for analyzing the relationship between the scavenging pressure ratio p s/ p T and parameters of the turbocharging system and running conditions for the engine in question.

| 气压梯度力 pressure gradient force 在大气中由于气压在空间的分布不均匀，而作用于气块上的力。对单位质量的气块而言，气压梯度力的方向与等压面垂直，且从高气压指向低气压；它的大小与气压梯度的数值成正比，与空气密度成反比。水平方向上的气压梯度力在水平面上垂直于等压线，且由高气压指向低气压。在地面天气图上，经常存在一些高、低气压中心。通常在高气压区内，气块所受的水平气压梯度力垂直于等压线且由高气压中心指向外；而在低气压区内，气块所受的水平气压梯度力垂直于等压线且指向低气压中心。由于在大气中气压随高度的增加而减少，因此通常铅直方向上的气压梯度力与重力的方向相反。 |
