hQikuQng海况(se a state)在风力作用下的海面外貌特征。影响海况的主要因素是风和浪的大小。通常根据视野内的海面状况、波浪的波峰形状和破碎程度，以及浪花泡沫出现的多少来确定海况等级。海况分为10级(见表)。海况级与波级并非同一概念，二者既有联系又有区别。前者以浪的外貌特征为主，后者以浪高为主。海上无风时，不论海面上有无涌浪，海况均为0级，此时海况级小于或等于波级;海上有风时，若海面有涌浪，海况级可大于、等于或小于波级，若海面无涌浪，海况级可大于或等于波级。海海况等级表二况级通常比凤级小1一2级。海况与海洋渔业生产、海七运输、海洋资源开发与利用和国防建设关系密切，对舰艇航行、匕机巡逻侦察和舰载武器的使用等均有很大影响。(俞慕耕)
