覆面家具 现代家具之一。覆面家具是用木材代用品作面板覆面，一方而能代替木材和节约木材．另方面能增加美观和使用舒适。覆面材料很多，在传统上常用大理石、棕绳绷、藤皮席子、草席等作覆面用，如茶几、桌子、花台、椅靠背等常用大理石，坐椅常用棕垫或草席。近年来常用玻璃板或镜面作桌子或梳妆台的覆面，用皮革、人造革、漆布、塑料、丝绒、绸缎等作椅子、沙发椅、凳子、梳妆台的覆面。这些覆面料五光十色、光滑柔软、形式美观、使用舒适。利用覆面鲜艳的色彩，能掩饰木材缺陷，使次材能用作高级家具骨架，代替贵重木材使用。至于编漆面、皮条面、帆布面等可作轻便折叠椅凳的覆面料，价廉物美。
