中国清代主要介绍花卉植物的专著。作者陈淏子，一名扶摇,自号西湖花隐翁,浙江杭县人。约生于明万历四十年(1612)，成书时已年逾70。全书6卷。 卷一"花历新裁"，为种花月令。其中"占验"述及气候观测和干支推算；"事宜"包括分栽、移植、扦插、接换、压条、下种、收种、浇灌、培壅、整顿等10目，都是通过实践或调查获得的经验。卷二"课花十八法"，内容涉及花卉特性和嫁接、 扦插、移植、 下种、浇灌、培壅、治虫、催花等方法，以至盆景、插瓶、花园款设等，是全书着意所在，所陈技术，有不少独到之处。卷三至卷六分别为"花木类考"、"花果类考"、"藤蔓类考"、"花草类考"，著录植物有花木类100种、 藤蔓类92种、花草类103种共达295种，并附有插图以及栽培技术介绍。卷后附一"余刊"，叙述调养禽鸟、兽畜、鳞介以及昆虫的方法。本书的最早刊本为康熙二十七年(1688)善成堂刻本，以后坊刻、石印、铅印不绝，流传甚广，有的书名作《百花栽培秘诀》。农业出版社1959年出版了酆裕洹的《花镜研究》，1962年出版了伊钦恒的《校注花镜》。
