| 海月水母属 Aurelia 钵水母纲旗口水母目的一属。水母呈 扁平伞状；直径10～40厘米；因夏秋两季浮于水面，状如明月，故称海月。约有7种，其中海月水母是习见种分布广，几乎遍及世界各海。中国以烟台附近海域较多。口腕不分枝，胶质较硬，长度约为伞径的1／2。口腕是摄食的重要器官。水母幼期摄食仔鱼，成体期改食小型浮游动物。海月水母的生活史中有典型的世代交替现象，雌雄异体。
