砑花纸  明、清间名纸。纸料多是上等的坚韧皮纸,或为本色纸,或为色纸,有厚有薄。图案有山水、花鸟、鱼虫、龙凤、云纹、水纹、人物故事和文字等。将这种纸放透光处看,显出一幅美丽的暗纹图画。故宫藏乾隆年间彩色砑花蜡印故事笺,用细帘纹皮纸,纤维交结匀细,纸上砑有肖翼赚《兰亭》、赤壁赋和葛巾漉酒等人物图的暗纹。纸高31.6厘米,长128—131厘米。制作精工,极适于笔墨。加工时,大概先将纸加粉,染色,把画稿刻在硬木模上,以蜡砑纸,模上凸出的画纹因压力作用,呈现出光亮透明的画面。经仔细观察,在纸的深凹处,还残存有蜡渣,表明是通过上述方法砑制的。
