In order to probe into the thermogenesis mechanism adapted to seasonal environment in small mammals,we measured body mass,activity of cytochrome c oxidase in liver and brown adipose tissue(BAT) and α-phosphoglycerate oxidase activity in BAT of striped field mouse(Apodemus agrarius) which was acclimated outdoor in winter and summer.
