Leaching of bismuth from low grade and complex bismuth ores contained with molybdenum and copper was studied,and effect of acidity,ferric chloride concentration,leaching time and leaching agent consumption on bismuth leaching rate was investigated.

The relationship between Ag-Au ore bodies and pyrite ore bodies in space and time,bismuth minerals and their intimate intergrowth of gold and silver minerals, as well as close correlation between Au and Ag with Bi in ore indicate that the Ag-Au mineralization in the Xinqiao mine is superimposed on the earlier pyrite mineralization instead of associated one.

The results show that bismuth, bismuthinite are main bismuth minerals in the two mines.
