性质描述: 白色或略带黄色斜方针状结晶,易燃。熔点95.5℃,沸点278℃,相对密度1.0242(20/4℃),闪点125℃,折射率为1.6048(100℃),熔化热247.28J、g,蒸发热134.31J、g。不溶于水,微溶于乙醇,能溶于热醚;热苯;甲苯;冰醋酸;氯仿和石油醚。

生产方法: 在高温焦油中,约含苊1.2%-1.8%。以煤焦油蒸馏分出的洗油,用精馏方法再分成各个窄馏分,从270-280℃馏分制取工业苊。

用途: 有机合成原料,经硝化可制硝基苊;进一步氧化可制1,8-萘二甲酸酐和苊醌,可用于合成染料;聚酯树脂;聚酯纤维;还可用于制荧光颜料,药品,杀虫剂等。苊脱氢得苊烯,可制苊烯树脂。
