性质:实为氧化铝纤维的改良品种,组成为Al2O315%~25%和ZrO2 85%~75%。直径10~20μm。强度2.1GPa。模量385GPa。密度4.2g/cm3。导热系数小。耐热性优于Al2O3纤维,对熔融态Al、Cu、Ni等不反应。制法:(1)干浆法,由α-Al2O3用Y2O3部分稳定后加ZrO2粉和增稠剂,纺丝后在1000~2000℃灼烧而得;(2)转化法,用石墨纤维插入AlCl3、ZrCl4和Cl2混合物,在800℃加热并烧成锆酸铝纤维;(3)有机前驱体法,含Zr-Al的有机金属化合物聚合后干纺,在800~1200℃裂解而得分散有ZrO2的Al2O3纤维。用途是金属基和陶瓷基复合材料增强剂等。
