【货币替代弹性】当货币的交换价值上涨时，人们抛弃货币而用其他因素来替代货币的比率。凯恩斯认为，货币的这种替代弹性等于零。这是由于货币本身并无效用，它的效用来自于交换价值。作为一般购买力的代表，它可以换回任何其它商品，但其他商品中却没有一种商品具备这种效用。因此，人们不愿用其他商品来替代货币，货币的交换价值越高，人们越不愿用其他商品来替换商品，从而对货币的需求就越大。
