To understand the genetic characteristics of the hemagglutinin of influenza B virus prevalent in Fuzhou in 2006 and the evolutionary distribution of infection,viruses isolated from MDCK cells were typed and subtyped with hemagglutination(HA)and hemagglutination inhibition(HAI)tests,and the viral HA gene from viral RNA extracted from certain strains of virus was amplified by RT-PCR.
