以亚麻纤维为原料的织物。现代胡麻、大麻等织物因规格、 特性、 工艺相近，也归入这一类。具有吸湿、散湿快，断裂强度高，断裂伸长小，防水性好，光泽柔和，手感较松软等特性。可作服装、装饰、国防和工农业特种用布。亚麻织物抗皱性和耐磨性差，折缝处易磨损,在穿着使用前宜先烫浆。由于亚麻纤维整齐度差,致使成纱条干不良,因此织物表面有粗、细条痕,甚至还有粗节和大肚纱，但这又是亚麻织物的一种独特风格。亚麻织物有细布和帆布两大类。细布类以湿纺长麻纱为主织制，也有用优质的栉梳落麻或其他短麻，经精梳的湿纺短麻纱织制。中国生产的亚麻细布以纯纺为主，大宗产品有22×22公支和19×19公支纯亚麻布。色泽以漂白为主，也有浅杂色或印花布。白布主要用作抽绣品的基布。此外，还有棉经麻纬交织布，涤纶和亚麻混纺细平布等品种,穿着挺爽凉快,适宜作夏令服装和床单、被套、手帕、台布等家用织物。还有干纺短麻6×3.5公支平布和粗号棉经、干纺短麻纬交织的平布也属细布类，用作低档粗服装、茶巾、餐巾等。帆布类以干纺短麻纱为主织制。大宗产品为6×3.5公支帆布，用作防水帆布、帐篷布、防雨罩布、枪炮衣、坦克和飞机罩等国防和工农业特种用布。以4股10公支湿纺长麻纱为经，12股7公支干纺长麻纱为纬织制的帆布，可用作水龙带。
