俗名:  花蛤、沙期子。
产地及产期:
    我国沿海均有分布,山东青岛和福建沿海产量较多。
介绍:
    口壳小而薄,呈长卵圆形。壳顶稍突出,于背缘靠前方微向前弯曲。放射肋细密,位于前、后部的较粗大,与同心生长轮脉交织成布纹状。贝壳表面的颜色、花纹变化极大,有棕色、深褐色、密集褐色或赤褐色组成的斑点或花纹。贝壳内面淡灰色或向红色,从壳顶到腹面有2~3条浅色的色带。
