This paper discusses the origins as well as its evolving process of the time preposition in medieval Chinese,also probes into the essential causes that how it came into existence and then died out slowly.
中古汉语时间介词的演变包括其产生和消失两个方面,笔者首先考察了中古汉语新生时间介词的产生动因,即主要是由句法语义因素、同步虚化因素以及认知因素等几个方面共同作用的结果;其次分析了中古汉语时间介词发展到近现代而消失的原因,即主要是由时间介词系统内部的同义竞争、同义替代和功能分化造成的。
