| 唐生智（1889～1970） 中国国民党军将领，爱国民主人士。字孟潇。湖南东安人。保定军官学校毕业。曾参加辛亥革命、讨袁、护法诸役。1923年任湘军第4师师长兼湖南善后督办。1926年任湖南省代理省长，因受吴佩孚胁迫，投靠广东国民政府，任国民革命军第八军军长兼北伐军前敌总指挥 、湖南省主席。1927年任武汉国民党中央政治委员会委员、军委会七人主席团成员、武汉国民政府委员、第四集团军总司令等职。同年11月因反蒋兵败下野，前往日本。1929年任国民政府军事参议院院长、第五路军总指挥。1930年任反蒋的护党救国军第四路总指挥。 1931年任广州国民政府及军事委员会常委。九一八事变后复任南京国民政府军事参议院院长 。1934年12月调任训练总监部总监。1937年11月日军进攻南京时，出任首都卫戍司令长官。南京失守后，回湖南长期闲居。1948年11月去南京、上海，向蒋介石建议与中共停战和谈，1949年领衔通电拥护湖南和平解放。中华人民共和国建立后，曾任湖南人民政府副主席、副省长，国防委员会委员，中国国民党革命委员会中央常务委员、全国人民代表大会常务委员会委员，中国人民政治协商会议常务委员会委员等职。1970年4月6日在长沙病逝。 |
