This paper introduces the theoretical foundation of learning-type organization, probes into the significance of establishing the learning-type university, analyzes on the basic connotations and features of learning-type university, and points out the concrete requirements for the construction of the library of learning-type university.

After an analysis of the current situation of the research on the building of a learning pattern university campus,the authors hold that the research achievements so far achieved in the academic circle should be recognized,though there still exists some challenges and problems in the research,to which the author have had a detailed discussion.
