最近发展区理论是由前苏联教育家维果茨基提出来的。维果茨基的研究表明:教育对儿童的发展能起到主导作用和促进作用,但需要确定儿童发展的两种水平:一种是已经达到的发展水平;另一种是儿童可能达到的发展水平,表现为“儿童还不能独立地完成任务,但在成人的帮助下,在集体活动中,通过模仿,却能够完成这些任务”。这两种水平之间的距离,就是“最近发展区”。把握“最近发展区”,能加速学生的发展。
维果茨基的“最近发展区”,主要是就智力而言的,其实在学生心理发展的各个方面都存在着“最近发展区”。教师应该围绕“最近发展区”大做文章,通过联系簿、周记、作业本、期末鉴定、书信等载体给学生写评语,让学生看到成功的希望,明确努力的目标,获得前进的动力,一步一步地发展自己,一点一滴地完善自己。
