| 终身教育 lifelong education 20世纪50年代末、60 年 代初形成于欧洲的一种国际性教育思潮。倡导者是联合国教育、科学及文化组织终身教育局局长、法国教授 P.伦格兰德。由于人们对终 身 教 育的认识和理解不一，尚未形成一个得到公认的概念。较为普遍的解释是，从时间上看，教育应贯穿人的一生；从教育形式上看，则应包括正规教育，非正规教育、学校教育和社会教育。 终身教育思潮的兴起，有其深刻的社会背景。伦格兰德认为有七大原因：①完全机械手表结构图像过去那样由教师向学生、父母向子女传递社会固有知识和技术，已不能适应空前迅速变化的世界的需要。②人口剧增、寿命延长，增加了人们对教育的需求。③科学技术的进步，加速了科学知识的更新换代。④政治上的选择，虽然教育不能起决定性的作用，却可以培养市民的民主意识。⑤信息化社会要求人们具有对信息的理解、解释、消化、应用，尤其需要批判精神和选择能力 ， 不经过不断 地 教育训练是无论如何也做不到的。⑥余暇时间增多和活动领域扩大，需要人们继续学习。⑦生活方式的变化，需要一系列新的教育，去开创出适合于自己的生活方式。因此，教育应是个人一生中连续不断地学习的过程，而数百年来，社会把个人的生活分成两半，前半生受教育，后半生工作，是没有科学依据的。伦格兰德1965年12月在联合国教科文组织召开的第三届促进成人教育国际委员会上发表了自己的观点，得到许多国家的赞同。此后，终身教育思想成为世界许多国家实施教育改革的指导思想。到了70年代，欧美各国又在终身教育的基础上，提出了回归教育的概念。回归教育强调终身需要学习，这一点与终身教育相似，但不同的是它强调受教育者的教育平等权利，个人离职学习和复职学习应得到国家和社会的保障，因此需要社会经济的综合改革和各方面的政策保障。可以说，回归教育深化了终身教育的内涵。终身教育的主要代表作有：伦格兰德的《终身教育论》、《终身教育问题》、A.J.克罗普利与R.H.戴夫合著的《终身教育与教师训练》。 |
