1.《新唐书．阎立本传》:"初﹐太宗与侍臣泛舟春苑池﹐见异鸟容与波上﹐悦之﹐诏坐者赋诗﹐而召立本侔状。合处传呼画师阎立本﹐是时已为主爵郎中﹐俯伏池左﹐研吮丹粉﹐望坐者羞怅流汗。归戒其子曰:'吾少读书﹐文辞不减侪辈;今独以画见名﹐与厮役等。若曹慎毋习！'"后因以"立本羞"为画师不受重视之典。
