北魏洛阳时期瓦当 洛阳是北魏后期都城。历年发现大量莲花、兽面纹瓦当。洛阳地区出土的北魏莲花纹瓦当，大致为三种形式，第一种出自王湾的，花瓣瘦长单层、八瓣；第二种花瓣瘦长、双层、八瓣、中心有花蕊；第三种花瓣肥短而弯曲、双层、六瓣、中心有连珠一周。北魏洛阳时期瓦当，以莲花纹和兽面纹为其特征，是南北朝时期的创新。它开启了这类瓦当在隋、唐时期广泛流行的先河。
