So far there are 3 hypotheses on the reasons why th e Chinese character Ri(日) of Jin Midi(金日磾) is pronounced "mi", namely the hypothesis of sandhi, the hypothesis of consonant clusters and the hypothesis of erroneous changes of Chinese character forms pr oposed in ancient times.

From the perspective of wrong word,this paper analyses two wrong words of the Wu bamboo slip,revealing the causes of formation in the hope of contributing to the research into the language and words of the Wu bamboo slip.

This paper begins with pointing out four types of misquotations in the First Draft of Xunguxue: redundancy due to misprinting or miscopying,omitting due to misprinting or miscopying,erroneous words,and misrepresent source;and then corrects them.

It is needed to study further about the erroneous transformation of Chinese Characters\' forms,though it has been noticed.

The erroneous transformation of ancient Chinese character forms affect Xiesheng(谐声)in Shuowen Jiezi(说文解字)which leads some phonetic elements come into being or others die out.
