By comprehensively dealing with the actual information, the laws which horizontally and vertically govern the variation of the loess-like soils and their collapsibility inthe urban districts of Shijiazhuang City were discussed in this paper.

On the theoretical basis of modern location value and economics, the internal relationship between locational selection and profit was analyzed through the investigation of location distribution and profit of hundreds of travel agencies in Shijiazhuang city.

Data of groundwater level are interpolated and calculated using the function of spatial analysis of GIS(Geographic Information System) technique to obtain the dynamic change volume and the change of groundwater level of the shallow groundwater month by month in the Shijiazhuang plain area during 1995~2004,it s showed that groundwater had reduced 75.
