中国古代水上运动之一。相传源于春秋时代，唐宋时浙江最盛。每年八月盛潮时，成群的弄潮者于江河出海口，手执彩旗，迎潮而泅，踏浪争雄，在波峰浪谷中表演各种泅技，颇为壮观。
