| 夏家店下层文化 中国北方地区的青铜时代文化。因最初发现于内蒙古自治区赤峰市夏家店遗址下层而得名。主要分布在燕山山地和辽西及内蒙古东南部地区。年代为公元前2000～前1500年。夏家店下层文化所表现的居民主要从事农业，工具有磨制的石铲、石刀和打制的石锄等。饲养牛、马、猪、狗等家畜。居址多位于沿河两岸的高地上。较大的聚落周围有石砌或夯土筑成的城墙及壕沟，聚落内的房屋从数十至百余座不等。居室有半地穴式的，也有土坯、石块垒砌成的地面房。聚落附近有墓地，大甸子墓地埋有墓近千座，排列密集而有规律。墓葬的大小、随葬品的种类与数量存在差别，反映出当时居民已有贫富与等级的差异。该文化的青铜器主要是耳环、指环、杖首等小件物品，但已掌握用内外范铸造薄壁铜器的技术。另有金耳环等。居民盛行占卜习俗。陶器上彩绘各种图案，多以白色画出云纹，用红色勾勒填地，有些纹样与商代青铜器的装饰纹样相似。
