1918年，德国人马克在纳米比亚的布兰德山的一个洞穴中发现了一幅优美的壁画，画中人物完全像一位二十世纪的贵妇人，身穿短袖套衫，马裤，戴着手套，臀部紧绷，穿着吊带袜和便鞋，烫着时髦的现代发型，胳膊腰部腿上都装饰着珍珠。壁画中还有一名瘦小的男子，戴着面具，手拿一根带刺的棒，四周都是原始的动物画。还处于蛮荒时代的先民能有这种想象力，实在是不可思议。在澳大利亚阿纳姆高地有一些奇怪的壁画，画上的人穿着类似今天宇航服的装扮，头上带着头盔，上面还有一根像天线的东西，衣服上还有拉链和尾饰。这简直就是今天宇航员的形象。在世界其它地方也有这样的壁画，原始人能够在史前还生活在洞穴时代就想到了衣鞋帽袜，甚至头盔吊裤，这可能吗？到底他们绘画的依据是什么呢？
