The paper inducts the concept of nominal linear-stiffness by means of the comparison of the rigid and semi-rigid connection steel frames under the horizontal load and put forward that it should adopt the nominal line-stiffness to consider the influence of the initial stiffness to the horizontal displacement of the semi-rigid connec.
