Translation/translating is done within certain contexts,which are termed as the translation context.
翻译是在一定的语境中运作的，这种语境我们称之为翻译语境，它是由译者搬到翻译桌上的双语相关语境因素的总和，翻译语境制约着翻译的各个的具体运作。

This paper tries to draw the attention of the Chinese translation community to this issue and help push forward the development of a contextual theory of translation with a brief survey and comment on five Chinese monographs on translation in which translation context is comprehensively approached.
